In this role, the Construction Manager will interact with Jacobs construction sites, clients, and engineering offices to ensure successful management of all construction functions in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.The Construction Manager will supervise projects deploying construction management and commissioning teams. Projects are generally in Morocco with an aggregate TIC value in the order of $1-1.5bn. Support of early phase concept and basic engineering including constructability analysis and construction readiness reviews is also provided.Responsibilities
- Project Performance
- The Construction Manager will work closely with the Senior Construction Director to ensure proper set up of the job –including staffing, processes, tools and procedures are in place.
- The Construction Manager has oversight for the safety of the CM projects and will work closely with the JESA safety leadership to ensure correct reporting, assignment of staff, leadership, communication and behaviors, etc.
- The Construction Manager will ensure CRRs are conducted at appropriate times and will participate in OPRs conducted monthly; may be assigned DPE role for critical projects
- The Construction Manager will report back to Senior Construction Director on actions/critical activities including cost, schedule, quality and client issues.
- The Construction Manager may be involved in Gate Reviews as necessary to ensure progress of the work
- The Construction Manager ensures appropriate technology is utilized on the construction projects, through coordination with Technical Services and the Process Industries Group.
Sales Support
- The Construction Manager is the interface between JESA Business Development New Opportunities/Top Prospects and Construction teams.
- Field Services will support sales and proposal efforts with the identification of candidates as needed.
- The Construction Manager will bring expertise to the team in order to influence the most effective execution approaches (EPC vs EPCM) for the work.
People/Staffing
- The Construction Manager has functional, administrative responsibility (Performance Reviews, Timesheets, etc.) for his/her team of Construction & Commissioning Managers and their staff. As agreed, the projects may take on some of these responsibilities (e.g. time sheets).
- The Construction Manager is responsible for training and coaching, as well as career development for CMs.
- The Construction Manager will work directly with the HR business partner to identify needs and availability of people in advance of sales pursuits and project staffing; supports backlog and prospect CM resource needs forecasting
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the engineering, construction and project delivery markets.
- Superior leadership and organizational management skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience at the site manager level or above.

- Plans sales volumes and potentials of all assigned customers.
- Provides information via CRM for forecasts and planning and ensure the follow up.
- Analyzes and evaluates markets (both technology and product portfolio) and needs of potential or existing customers.
- Spots opportunities for local product and service portfolio solutions.
- Prepares customer contact, builds and maintains a customer focused network.

- Coordinates the realization of assignments, may coordinate and contribute to set up respective product developments, projects or services programs.
- Completes sales and revenue related key reporting.

- May act as a point of contact to customers in commercial matters and influences collaboration within the organization to secure customer support.
Qualifications Education, Experience And Skills
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering / Industrial Automation.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the same position or equivalent acquired in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of digitalization.
- Minimum knowledge of Siemens Product (SIMATIC, Drives & Automation, industrial networks…).
- Knowledge of the country-wide Service & Customer Support requirements.
- Respects internal values and working atmosphere of commitment, team work spirit, openness to new ideas and strong motivation.
- Strategic skills to make plans and take actions in alignment to the country business orientation.
- Ability to sell, hard negotiator, with deal closing capabilities.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to deal with, customers and staff at all levels.
- Innovative with result and quality orientation.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in SAP.
- Fluent in English, French and Arabic.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems MS Office, Word and Excel, databases, and programs.
- Demonstrate ability to work professionally with both internal and external customers.
