For our Siemens Business Unit Company „Siemens Plant Operation Tahaddart (SPOT)” in Morocco we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).What are my tasks?The CFO shall be responsible for the management of the financial, fiscal and commercial affairs of SPOT and for all departments and areas allocated to the CFO. He is the contact person to the Customer, Energie Electrique de Tahaddart (EET), the fuel supplier, the tax authorities, the local authorities, the suppliers, as well as Siemens AG as Headquarter (HQ) in respect of all commercial matters.The Tasks Are In Particular

  • responsible for 5 – 6 commercial Employees and some 45 technical Employees (together with CEO);
  • preparation, realization and control of the business plan, supervision of order income, turnover, investments, financial results and supervision;
  • financial statements, including without limitation, preparation of the balance sheet and the profit and loss statement in accordance with international and local accounting laws and standards;
  • planning, forecasting and reporting to the HQ;
  • planning and supervision of the headcount figures of SPOT (together with CEO);
  • ensuring the adherence to applicable laws, Siemens rules and regulations, existing administrative work procedures and, as well as KPI and targets, in all departments of SPO;
  • management of all day to day commercial, legal, fiscal and transportation matters of SPOT;
  • issuing and implementing of generally applicable administrative work procedures for SPOT;
  • representation of CEO in his absence.

What are we looking for?The Following Requirements Apply

  • successfully studied business administration (MBA), commercial apprenticeship (Stammhausausbildung) or comparable education;
  • comprehensive experience in Controlling, Project Management, Marketing and Sales, Accounting. Audit or similar fields;
  • experiences in respect of human resource management are an advantage;
  • knowledge of local GAAP. local tax laws, understanding of how to issue balance sheet and profit and loss under Moroccan law;
  • good understanding of US-GAAP, IFRS and Siemens Accounting guidelines for consolidation (e.g. ESPRIT Reporting);
  • thorough understanding for compliance guidelines, RIC and the philosophy „Keep the books and records straight, no compromises“;
  • intercultural experiences with Morocco and North Africa;
  • should be generally, experienced with foreign countries and cultures;
  • Language Skills: English and French (fluent oral and written), German, Spanish could be an advantage
