APM Terminals is building a new container terminal in Tangier, Morocco. Our ability to build a terminal in accordance with budgets and timescales whilst establishing an operational organisation and securing commercial business is critical to the success of our projects and business. The objective of this position is to ensure efficient planning and consolidation of Purchasing requirements across various functions of the organisation. Develop and implement procurement policies and guidelines in accordance with overall strategies and existing best practicies. - Reporting to the CFO your main task will be to plan, consolidate and handle the procurement needs or various departments.
- Setup inventory management system for the terminal.
- Ensure full compliance with control frame work and approved SOPs.
- Raise the purchase requisitions in IFS to be processed.
- Follow-up on the delivery date of purchase orders raised.
- Follow-up with internal customers on the goods and services receipt (GRN in IFS), and make sure POs are closed on IFS.
- Documentation management.
- Secure legal and tax review of contracts as required.
- Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with forecasts. Make appropriate recommendations and advise of the impact on Financial results.
- Other Finance and Procurement related tasks as required by CFO.
This all to be achieved through value-based teamwork and it is expected that you make constant process improvement in the way we do our business. It is therefore imperative that you provide vision and empowerment to others to take action with due regard to instructions set out by the CFO.#LI – POSTWho we are looking forQualifications
- Requires a university or colleague degree in business or accounting.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of procurement or finance experience.
- A high level of understanding of general procurement procedures is essential.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate in a multi-cultural environment in addition to effective interpersonal skills.
- High level of proficiency in ERP system and MS Office, especially excel, Powerpoint and think-cell.
- Disciplined with high level of planning and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English and French, written and verbal skills are required, Arabic being and advantage.
- Requires exceptional time management due to fast-moving, demanding work environment.
- Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork to achieve results.
- Requires excellent analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data.
