The objective of this role:
• Full understanding of Project scope, investment breakdown and time line
• Control over capital expenditures, estimates and follow-up on same together with Asset delivery team and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that policies and guidelines are developed in accordance with overall strategies and policies set out and envisioned by the CFO

Key Responsibilities

• Gather data required for reporting on investment progress vs budget, review and reconcile such to ensure its validity and accuracy, and provide the CFO and other stakeholders with required reporting in a timely manner including variance analysis.
• Ensure proper documentation of any changes to scope or budget.
• Ensure proper approvals are in place before any investment decisions including change management processes
• Maintain up-to date monthly capital expenditure report including year to date, rest of year and project Estimate to complete.
• Work very close with Asset delivery team on Finance related tasks i.e. reporting, forecasts, payment execution…etc.
• Review, follow-up and control over bank guarantees and insurance policies related to project contracts.
• Review the capitalization of fixed assets together with the accounting team.
• Review supplier invoices related to project and ensure proper aprrovals are in place from the Asset delivery team.
• Prepare accrual sheet for accounting.
• Full understanding of project contracts and ensure adherence to contract deliverebales, milestones, scope and control over financial impact accordingly.
• Monthly payment schedule/investment cash flow (with comment on overrun (if any) compared to initial investment plan.
• Maintain an updated version of the Standard Financial Model.

Who we are looking for

Experience
• Requires at least 5 years of progressively more responsible general accounting and finance experience preferably with a project implementation experience

Skills
• Team player.
• Requires good verbal and written communications skills, in addition to effective interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English is a must, and French is preferred.
• High attention to detail.
• Requires a high level of planning and organizational skills.
• Requires excellent analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data.
• Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment
• Must be able to handle company information with confidentiality and discretion

Education
• Requires a university degree in business or accounting. Qualification as a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant, or equivalent is preferable

• Direct the activities in the financial planning function within Finance Department and ensure continued strive for excellence and efficiency
• Provide financial information and analysis, hereunder information for decision making to support the CFO and other stakeholders as well as ongoing financial reporting in accordance with reporting cycles
• Prepare cost and capital estimates and follow-up on same together with individual department managers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that policies and guidelines are developed in accordance with overall strategies and policies set out and envisioned by the CFO

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the financial planning function for achieving the finance department objectives as stipulated by the CFO.
• Support in business planning and performance management including KPIs
• Proactively and constantly drive cost control and cost reduction initiatives
• Reports financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances and developing improvements
• Encourage and assist department managers in preparation of detailed and realistic departmental estiamtes/targets. Follow up with department managers on actual developments against target and provide detailed explanation of deviations to Management.
• Develop financial policies, standard operation procedures and guidelines within area of responsibility, specifically including financial and management reporting.
• Provide high quality financial information and analysis for decision-making. Conduct financial analysis and provide financial expertise on an ongoing basis.
• Assist in preparation of the required Board and Shareholders meetings material
• Support CFO to secure project financing and cash planning.
• Ensure reliable and timely reporting as per Concession and Shareholders Agreement requirements.
• Preparing business case studies, scenario analysis and long term forecasts in relation to the project Business Plan.

• Develop financial and accounting policies, standard operation procedures and guidelines within area of responsibility including accounting and other major areas.
• Ensure full control over the accounting section functions processes and SOPs i.e. AP, AR, Cash and GL.
• Ensure adherence to Authority matrix and overall Governance frame work.

Who we are looking for

Experience
• Requires at least seven years of progressively more responsible general accounting and finance experience. Requires at least four years of management/supervisory experience.
• Must have thorough understanding and working knowledge of ERP systems and accounting specific software. Requires proficiency in various software applications and programs, specifically excel, powerpoint and think-cell.

Skills

• Requires good verbal and written communications skills, in addition to effective interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English is a must, and French is preferred.

• Directs and organizes all general accounting activities and accounting staff. Prepares accounting and financial reports and ensures accurate accounting systems and record keeping both local and IFRS. The job controls overall book-keeping process with varied nature of tasks performed every day. This job is the custodian of financial statements of the company.
• Ensure a general understanding of all finance department functions, IT systems and accounting principles and practices.
• Execute the development and implementation of IT-financial systems
• Ensure that policies and guidelines are developed in accordance with overall strategies and policies set out and envisioned by the CFO, hereunder specifically with respect to areas covered by the Accounting Section.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions; reviews entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with the company’s and established accounting principles; controls all changes to chart of accounts. Responsible for monthly and year end closing of the general ledger.
• Responsible for maintaining computerized accounting system, backup control, and generating computer reports and statements.
• Administers preparation of interim, year-end, self assesmnet, Audit Questionnaire and comparative financial reports; performs and provides analysis of current results to prior periods and/or estimates.
• Ensure maintained fixed asset records and control; determines depreciation terms/rates to apply to capitalized items.
• Prepares tax reports and handle tax inspections.
• Weekly payment review
• Reviews the General Ledger on a regular basis, to ensure cost codes are being properly used, and creates new ledger accounts or new transaction codes, as needed.
• Closes the general ledger every month, reporting final balances for monthly accounts.
• Oversee the preparation of statutory reporting in direct liaison with company auditors. Co-ordinates auditing of company accounts with external auditors in accordance with guidelines stipulated by the CFO.
• Develop financial and accounting policies, standard operation procedures and guidelines within area of responsibility including accounting and other major areas.
• Ensure full control over the accounting section functions processes and SOPs i.e. AP, AR, Cash and GL.
