APM Terminals Medport Tangier is a greenfield project under construction, it will be the third container terminal of the Tangier Med complex. New terminal will be a highly-automated facility with up to 2,000 meters of quay.
Project Implementation is a key value driver in APM Terminals. Our ability to build a terminal in accordance with budgets and timescales whilst establishlishing an operational organisation and securing commercial business is critical to the success of our projects and business.The objective of this position is to generate, maintain and interrogate project schedules. The Project Planner will work on his/her own initiative with technical subject matter experts, operations staff, contractors and the Project Controls Manager to establish and maintain project delivery schedules that consider the complete scope of the project. The role provides the single point of contact for consolidated schedule information and will extend to provide wider support to the Project Controls Manager to ensure successful delivery of the project.

Key Responsibilities
• Developing and maintaining project baseline and progressed schedules in Primavera P6.
• Providing basic schedule familiarisation training for project personnel and lead project scheduling workshops as needed.
• Based on the predictive analytics tools, establish a robust predictive maintenance process for all terminal equipment in conjunction with the technical function.
• Reviewing, challenging and incorporating information from contractor schedules.
• Support the Project Controls Manager in the development of high level ‘what-if’ scenario planning in support of project decision-making.
• Provide support in development of reporting materials for internal and external stakeholders as well as other general project controls related support to the Project Controls Manager as required.

Profil recherché
We are looking for:

Qualifications
Requires at least a high school or colleague diploma. Degree qualified in a technical or project management-based discipline is desired.
• Project management certified candidates will have preference.

Experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant project delivery experience, preferable in large complex multi-stakeholder projects.
• Minimum 3 years of experience is project planning.

• Preferably contractor management experience.

Skills
• Technically minded – able to comprehend technical approaches and concepts and to articulate these to a wider audience.
• Strong planning skills and high analytical capability.
• Hands-on, willing to work/update schedules or take up other job related practical tasks.
• Able to build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience working with Primavera Scheduling Software.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Gather data required for reporting on investment progress vs budget, review and reconcile such to ensure its validity and accuracy, and provide the CFO and other stakeholders with required reporting in a timely manner including variance analysis.
• Ensure proper documentation of any changes to scope or budget.
• Ensure proper approvals are in place before any investment decisions including change management processes
• Maintain up-to date monthly capital expenditure report including year to date, rest of year and project Estimate to complete.
• Work very close with Asset delivery team on Finance related tasks i.e. reporting, forecasts, payment execution…etc.
• Review, follow-up and control over bank guarantees and insurance policies related to project contracts.
• Review the capitalization of fixed assets together with the accounting team.
• Review supplier invoices related to project and ensure proper aprrovals are in place from the Asset delivery team.
• Prepare accrual sheet for accounting.
• Full understanding of project contracts and ensure adherence to contract deliverebales, milestones, scope and control over financial impact accordingly.
• Monthly payment schedule/investment cash flow (with comment on overrun (if any) compared to initial investment plan.
• Maintain an updated version of the Standard Financial Model

Qualifications

Experience

  • Ideally the candidate has minimum 3 years of experience in general human resources, with an emphasis in service delivery in recruitment, labor law, employee relations, compensation and benefits.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with local labor and Moroccan employment law and practices ideally with Global expertise.
  • Solid experience in logistics, automated operations or similar environment will be a big advantage.

Skills
